Last Christchurch paintings sold at Baradene

Hi all

i'm really pleased to say that my last three Christchurch paintings were sold at Baradene last weekend.

These are all based on initial photographs and plein air work done in Christchurch just a couple of days before the big quake.

I tend to paint "what's in front of me" when i paint plein air, a little boring for viewers, so I use the plein air work as foundation studies for studio paintings where i develop the shapes, select my palette and design the composition.


I'm completing paintings for another exhibition at the moment but will start some more Christchurch paintings from next Monday 30th May.

My tea's gone cold ...

Right ... i'm up early, yay!! i'll sit at the computer and learn some more about blogger, really get to understand.it,  so i made a cuppa, sat down, got involved and ... voila!! another cuppa has gone cold!!

This is exciting ...

I've been working on this ALL day, i'm exhausted ... I haven't done any painting today and ... eeekkk ... i showing at an exhibtion this weekend at Baradene (tomorrow is the opening!!) till Sunday afternoon and then next weekend at Macleans College.
i'm trying to load a slideshow of some of my recent works but i can't get it to work ... there must be a trick to it ... i just don't know what that is ...
Anyways, i'm going to take a break now, watch the news, eat dinner, get back to work (lots of prep to do: working drawings, compositions etc). catch up tomorrow when i will have sorted out the slideshow!!
